It. Has. Finally. Happened. After months of sharing our wedding picks and tricks with one another (and with you), one of our own is going to get engaged! That’s right, one of the boys in accounting, Jakob, has talked with his lady love and they have decided to take the leap! Like the awesome couple they are, they have talked things through, but Jakob still plans to surprise his partner, Jennifer, when it comes to the actual presentation of the engagement ring.
A little bit about the couple, Jakob and Jennifer have been together for over seven years. And while they have been happily living together for the better part of those years, they finally decided it was time to get married and make it official. Jakob works with us as one of our loyal accountants and Jennifer works with young adults with disabilities, providing support in and around the community. They are a cute couple and often Jennifer sends us treats through Jakob. We are, needless to say, very excited about all of this.
In all our excitement, we decided that it would be fun to put together a list of some of our office’s favorite designer engagement rings for Jakob to consider when he goes out to shop for Jennifer’s ring.
First up, BetsyBelle. As one of our newest (and youngest) writers, she immediately gravitated towards a newer designer, Parade and their fine line of engagement rings. Parade engagement rings are stylistic marvels. Each ring crafted by Parade exhibits both a traditional elegance and a truly one-of-a-kind band design. I can easily see why Betsybelle chose to go with Parade rings.
BetsyBelle’s Top Parade Pick:
Intrinsically beautiful, BetsyBelle’s top pick, Parade Engagement Ring R3383-R1, is a playful example of Parade’s perfect fusion of traditional and modern. This particular ring is unique because it has a hint of color and a flora inspired band for the nature-loving bride to be.
Next, I headed over to Scott’s desk, wherein I asked for his favorite. As the marketing director, Scott decided that he would easily go for a Gelin Abaci. Office jokester, Scott enjoys the avant-garde contemporary look of Gelin Abaci’s tension settings. About the rings, he noted, “I like the look of the diamond falling off, keeps me on edge” and also, “I like that tension in my life.” The guy cracks us up, but in all seriousness, his pick marks a pretty big jump from some of the more classical looks we are so used to liking (and writing about) here in the office.
Scott’s Top Gelin Abaci Pick:
His engagement ring pick, Gelin Abaci’s TR-040, has similar bearings of a traditional round brilliant engagement ring, but with a very sleek, modern twist. Brides-to-be will be infinitely charmed by the very prominent tension setting and ultra-modern overall look.
Next, I went over to Jessie. Jessie’s adoration for quality engagement rings is enormous. He’s constantly showing the group new styles and he usually keeps us up to date on all the current jewelry designers to make the headlines. Equally as enchanting as they are timeless, Jessie’s current favorite is none other than Verragio! Stunningly original, Verragio engagement rings are crafted to perfection. Their bands are some of the most intricate on the market and the overall look of Verragio engagement rings are simply fit for queens.
Jesse’s Top Verragio Pick:
Jesse’s pick, Verragio’s AFN-5055CU-4, from their Venetian collection is surprisingly our first halo ring on our list of favorites. Our office tends to favor halos more than any other style, so it is a little surprising that our list isn’t overrun with halo settings. This Verragio dazzler not only has that beautiful halo we love to love so much, but also a pave of diamonds on the band’s shank, and the absolutely exquisite milgrain settings for which Verragio is known for.
Last, the ever illustrious, A. Jaffe, has more than a few of my personal favorites in halos, paves, and glamorous band formations that are sure to take any lovely lady’s breath away, not just my own! My forever favorites, A. Jaffe engagement rings, are absolute class and sophistication. Each ring oozes next level elegance and seemingly endless sparkly brilliance.
My A. Jaffe Top Pick:
As part of their breathtaking Metropolitan collection, A. Jaffe’s MES322-125 engagement ring, showcases a gorgeous halo and a uniquely shaped pave band. And while I can not predict what Jennifer would like (any better than Jakob can at least), this engagement ring seems ultra-chic and fashionable, while still calling back traditional engagement ring designs. It seems to fit my vision of Jennifer.
Jakob will ultimately pick from his own preferred designers, but when we asked him to pick from our top four favorites he chose BetsyBelle’s pick, the Parade engagement ring! Citing that Jennifer is a sweetheart with an affinity for flowers, Jakob said she’d probably like that one best.
Of course Jakob still has a long way to go before he makes up his mind, but he knows he has plenty of resources here at PJD and an office filled with very interested parties!
